Call your provider(s) and ask if they accept Humana Group Medicare Plans.
- If they say no, contact PBUCC for further assistance. We can connect our Humana Concierge team with your provider to discuss the out-of-network benefits included in the UCC Medicare Advantage Plan.
We are not aware of payment discrepancies or payment delays.
Humana pays at or above the Medicare-allowed amounts for Medicare eligible services.
Group Medicare Advantage plan members (including PBUCC members) can change plan coverages from the UCC Humana Medicare Advantage plan to Original Medicare + Medicare Supplement or an individual market Medicare Advantage plan. Confirm eligibility and enrollment requirements with the other carrier(s), as each plan may be different.
While unfortunate, the termination of a contract/agreement between providers and Humana does not outright qualify as a special enrollment period/guaranteed right under Medicare. If your provider leaves the Humana network or no longer agrees to submit claims to Humana on your behalf, contact PBUCC at 800.642.6543 for assistance. We can connect you to the Humana concierge team to finder a new provider in your area if you need assistance.
If you are interested in finding a new provider, you can use the Humana Provider Locator tool (linked above) or contact Humana at the number on the back of your ID card for further assistance. You can also contact PBUCC at 800.642.6543, option 5, prompt #2 to be connected to Humana Customer Service.
If you do not want to find a new doctor and your provider has confirmed they will not submit claims to Humana on your behalf, you have the following options:
- You can pay the provider and submit a claim to Humana for reimbursement under your UCC plan benefits.
- You may need to consider enrolling in a different plan that your doctor will accept. You will need to confirm with their office which plans they participate with and reach out to those carriers. PBUCC and Humana do not have access to this information. Visit www.medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) for assistance.
- You can seek assistance from Fidelity Medicare Services to find a new plan at medicare.fidelity.com or call 1-833-886-0033. (NOTE: They may not offer access to all available plans/carriers.)
