The Christmas Fund for Veterans of the Cross and the Emergency Fund

Gifts assist United Church of Christ authorized ministers and lay church employees who are presently serving in ministry or have retired.  Assistance for retirees comes in the form of supplementation to small pensions or health benefit premiums as well as "Thank You" gift checks at Christmastime. Active and retired members may receive an emergency grant to assist with an unexpected and burdensome expense throughout the year.

Securing the Future: Ministers’ Financial Vitality Initiative (MFVI)

In 2017, the National Setting of the United Church of Christ and The Pension Boards created Securing the Future: Ministers’ Financial Vitality Initiative (MFVI), a cohort-based program of financial education, debt-reduction, and personal empowerment around clergy financial issues. Over 300 UCC ministers have found support in this program through debt reduction and elimination, grants for financial support, and assistance from financial experts and their fellow members.
