Create a legacy and make a difference in the UCC of the future by making the United Church Board for Ministerial Assistance the beneficiary of your Pension Boards life insurance policy.

All retired clergy age 65 and older who have been with the UCC Life Insurance and Disability Income Benefit Plan for at least five consecutive years or more prior to retirement have life insurance paid by the Pension Boards.

As of January 1, 2011, the policy increased in value from $5,000 to $10,000. Many annuitants are making the Fund for Ministerial Assistance the beneficiary of that policy.

That gift will strengthen and expand programs for all UCC clergy and lay church employees by:

• Supplementing low retirement pensions, health premiums and emergency needs of our retirees.
• Funding Target 2030: Next Generation Leadership Initiative to challenge young clergy under the age of 35 to accept the high calling of parish ministry.
• Strengthening faith communities through collaboration with UCC Local Church Ministries to provide supplemental funds for those engaged in new churches or renewing congregations.
