My journey in PBUCC has been incredible. In the first few weeks, we were acquainted with the leaders from each organizational unit which gave us high-level insights. I interned in the Information Technology department working with Michele and Tom's team. They gave me an enthusiastic welcome, and assigned me tasks to resolve business issues. I got to use my skills in Python programming and Power BI analytics.
Our task for the Capstone Project was to bring out the best in what we do and come up with ideas for the project assigned. PBUCC trusted us with our vision and talent. Interns usually don’t get exposure to how the company functions. But PBUCC made sure that we understood the business and its challenges. I learned a lot from leadership roundtable discussions. Each leader gave us insights into their respective departments. They molded us into professional consultants. By the end of the internship, I felt confident in my voice and opinions. Thank you PBUCC for giving me this opportunity and trusting me.
Special thanks to Walter and Nakita (Human Resources) for being patient as well as a guide throughout my journey here. I have often heard from them that PBUCC believes in faith and finance when it comes to business. After meeting and interacting with employees, I see they follow this core value in managing day-to-day activities.
I am immensely content with my summer internship and wouldn’t have asked for anything more. I would love to work here as an employee in the future and be part of something that impacts the lives of members who are here to serve a mission.
