On March 8, the Pension Boards was notified that an agreement had been reached by Cigna to acquire Express Scripts, the pharmacy benefit manager for the UCC Non-Medicare and Medicare Supplement with Rx Plans. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the year and is subject to shareholder and regulatory approval.
 

On March 8, the Pension Boards was notified that an agreement had been reached by Cigna to acquire Express Scripts, the pharmacy benefit manager for the UCC Non-Medicare and Medicare Supplement with Rx Plans. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of the year and is subject to shareholder and regulatory approval.

The acquisition will not affect the way our Plan participants receive pharmacy services. Please be assured that:

• there will be no change in the way you get your medication;
• your benefits will continue without interruption; and
• you will continue to receive the same services from Express Scripts, with the same attention to quality patient care.
