The new year has begun, and it is the perfect time for you to encourage your employees to set fresh goals, plan, and take action for their overall health and financial wellness. Helping your employees take a proactive approach to wellbeing can boost productivity, reduce stress, and create a positive workplace culture.
In this issue of In-the-Know, I invite you to share the wellness articles, health plan and benefits enrollment opportunities, and our monthly live events, which encourages your employees to stay on track with their overall wellbeing.
A few highlights in this issue: Share and read the Pension Boards’ latest Sustainability Report, themed, “Why Sustainability Matters,” and learn how we responsibly invest assets on your behalf that benefit both people and the planet; Read and share several articles on updating your beneficiaries regularly, setting up an emergency fund, and estate planning; Share new video tutorials that provide step-by-step guidance on how to change retirement contributions, update beneficiaries, and more; Share financial worksheets to help employees manage their budget, track their cash flow, and manage their debt; Learn about international travel medical coverage, and ways to stay fit this summer; Register for upcoming webinars.
As an employer, you understand the importance of financial wellness for your employees. However, your employees may not always prioritize improving their financial wellness as they spend their lives serving others and the greater good, whether it's serving the church or in institutions of care. Your employees may also find it hard to ask for help or guidance since they are usually the ones in the driver’s seat helping others.
We are starting the year off right by focusing on you and your employees’ needs! We are excited to present this fresh look and easy-to-navigate newsletter that will deliver the latest Pension Boards updates, insights, and news directly to your inbox. We encourage you to share this news and information with your employees.

The Pension Boards’ mission statement affirms our unique ministry of providing services to the church “from the intersection of faith and finance.” Generations reflects this core principle of our identity and will be a place to explore ideas growing out of that intersection.
We will publish two issues per year—in the fall and spring—and will be sharing the viewpoints of writers from a variety of experiences and perspectives, from the worlds of faith and finance, religion and economics. While our own perspective is rooted in the United Church of Christ, you will find ecumenical and interfaith content here as well.
