Building the Entrepreneurial Spirit

“Entrepreneurial spirit is a mindset. It’s an attitude and approach to thinking that actively seeks out change, rather than waiting to adapt to change. It’s a mindset that embraces critical questioning, innovation, service, and continuous improvement.”

Innovation. Service. Transformation.

The Pension Boards’ 2021 Summer Internship Program

The Pension Boards is looking for emerging leaders with an entrepreneurial spirit who are from some of the best colleges in New York to participate in the Pension Boards’ 10-week Summer Internship Program. Selected students will be empowered to embrace a spirit of entrepreneurialism through innovation, service, and transformation, upholding Pension Boards’ mission and values, while challenging the organization’s “norm.”

Selected interns will be empowered to offer strategic insight and ideas that will inform the Pension Boards' future strategic plans and programs in the following core areas: Finance, Investments, Member Services, Health Plans, Information Technology, Internal Audit, and Marketing/Communications.

At the conclusion of the 10-week internship program, students will present their ideas and assessments to the Pension Boards' Executive Team.

"We believe this program will help foster creative and valuable input for the Pension Boards that will not only fuel and shape our strategic objectives, but further enhance our services for United Church of Christ members. It will be their opportunity to have a say in a future Pension Boards," said Brian R. Bodager, President and CEO of the Pension Boards.
